Learn to Meditate
At the Vancouver Shambhala Meditation Center, we practice and teach mindfulness-awareness meditation, as it has been taught for over 2500 years. We offer meditation instruction free of charge.
On the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, we offer instruction in mindfulness-awareness meditation from authorized instructors in the meditation traditions of Shambhala Buddhism.
Sessions start at 7 pm, and include a brief talk about meditation practice, instruction in sitting meditation and walking meditation, suggestions for setting up an ongoing meditation practice, and several opportunities for questions and discussion. The evening ends about 8:20 – 8:30.
Typically 20-35 people attend a Learn to Meditate evening. You are welcome to return anytime for a refresher.
Everybody welcome. No experience or materials necessary.
