Walking and Transit
Our location is a 7 minute walk from the Broadway/City Hall Skytrain Station, or an 8 minute walk from the Olympic Village Skytrain Station. Both stations are served by Translink’s Canada Line Skytrain, with service every 6 minutes between the Seabus and Richmond/YVR airport.
Translink’s 99 B-Line bus runs every 3-4 minutes between the Commercial/Broadway Skytrain station and UBC. Get off at the Broadway/City Hall stop (at the corner of Broadway and Cambie), a 7 minute walk from our centre.
Bicycles
We have bike racks for 5-7 bicycles in the alley between 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue, about halfway along the block. The bicycle racks are just below our main meditation hall windows. Park your bicycle, and walk around the front of the building to enter.
Along 7th Avenue in front of the Shambhala Centre are a couple of City of Vancouver signposts that work for locking bicycles. Across 7th Avenue several former parking meters have been turned into bicycle parking posts.
Parking
All on-street parking is now metered: $1/hour, or $6 for the full day. Pay at the on-street meters, or using the Pay-By-Phone app.
On-street parking in the neighbourhood is usually available after 4:30 pm weekdays, and most of the weekend. It can be difficult to find on-street parking between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm weekdays. We recommend taking transit, car-share or bicycle during weekdays.

Our old Heather St. location
We were at our old location at Heather St. and 17th Avenue for 40 years. We moved out in December 2017 as the building was scheduled for demolition. Our current location at 256 West 7th Avenue, Unit 208 required extensive renovations to change it from a warehouse to a meditation centre. Construction delays and the City permitting process took almost two years. We are happy to be open again!
