Meditation Instruction

Meditation instruction is available free to anyone.

We offer introductory instruction to newcomers and follow-up instruction to  practitioners on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm as part of our Open House program.

Meditation instruction usually takes about 20-30 minutes, including time for discussion. There is no preparation required–just come as you are. Meditation instruction is provided in a small group.

During the pandemic, we are offering meditation instruction online using Zoom as part of our Wednesday Open House program. Please arrive via Zoom by 6:55 pm, so we can assign you to a Zoom Breakout room with a meditation instructor.

Not just for “new” meditators, instruction is also recommended as part of our ongoing practice. You are always welcome to return to the public meditation instruction sessions at any time, as your questions will be helpful to others.  You may also speak to a meditation instructor about your regular practice, and you may even ask to form a working relationship with the instructor of your choice.

Over the decades, we have given meditation instruction to over 30,000 Vancouverites at our Open House and Learn to Meditate programs.

We also offer meditation workshops, particularly Shambhala Training, that explore meditation practice and mindfulness in daily life.
