    September 22, 2018 from 10 am to 1:30 pm

This has been a challenging time for us, both as a community and as individuals. Gathering together to listen to each other and to offer support continues as we gather to mark the changing of the seasons from summer to autumn.

Harvest of Peace, is one of four annual Nyida Day celebrations in Shambhala culture to mark the turning of the seasons. Nyida is made up of Nyi or sun and Da or moon. Historically, this special day is associated with feelings of appreciation, the spirit of generosity, and sharing the bounty of the season. It is an opportunity for us to be together and share a meal.

Harvest of Peace is an important and appropriate time of the year to raise funds in support of our local centre. Because we have been unable to hold programmes over a long period, the centre’s operational funds are low. There will be a brief local fundraiser where everyone will be invited to give what they can, according to their inspiration and abilities.

On this occasion we are also pleased to present the results of the recent new centre survey and we offer another opportunity to share your vision.

Please note: The location does not have a kitchen. Please bring a simple dish that doesn’t need refrigeration or heating and that can be easily shared. Beverages will be provided.
